Prior to World War II, Japanese mangas depicted women as small in stature with small to medium sized breasts. With the influx of American G.I.’s with their pin-up pictures, comics and magazines, a new body type emerged as the accepted norm for Japanese comics: big breasted women. The bra size suddenly swelled from an ‘A’ size to a double and triple ‘D’ sized bra cup.
When drawing a hentai type breasts the artist is free to use their imagination as to the size and shape of the breast. Most adult hentai females have round shaped breasts with wide areolas and rather large erect nipples. There are some breast types where the nipple is almost an organ in itself. They are shown as big dimple shaped flattened discs or erect cones. It is not unheard of to see artist show the nipples as being extremely flexible to the point where objects can be inserted into them, sometimes objects as large as a penis.
Another type of common Japanese hentai breast is the round ‘perky’ breasts that are found on images of schoolgirls and young teenagers. These are perfectly rounded mounds that are capped by small erect nipples. It is not important that the artist be consistent from female to female within the same story. It is quite common to run into various sized breasts on different women although artists tend to stick to one type of breast for the majority of their females.
There is a style of hentai artwork that focuses on extremely large breasts. These storylines are usually about girls with large breast that are embarrassed by them and must seek solace from either other big breasted women or a life-long male friend who secretly admires her huge breasts. Large breast are also shown in almost all hentai that focuses on breast that produce milk.
